Why most marketing stalls before it scales
Most companies I meet don’t have a channel problem. They have an ownership problem. Paid media is run by an agency, SEO by a freelancer, email by someone in operations, and nobody can say which of them produced last month’s revenue. Every report looks good; the bank account disagrees.
A fractional CMO fixes that by putting one senior person in charge of the whole number — acquisition, conversion and measurement — without the cost and months-long search of a full-time executive hire.
How I run the engagement
1. Truth first: fix the measurement
Before budgets move, tracking has to reconcile. I audit GA4, Tag Manager, ad-platform conversions and your CRM, then implement server-side tracking and consent-compliant setups so paid spend, pipeline and revenue tell the same story.
2. Set one target and a 90-day plan
We agree on one growth number — revenue, qualified pipeline or contribution margin — and a ranked list of opportunities. Each item has an owner, a budget and an expected impact.
3. Run the channels
I own the channel mix: SEO and GEO for compounding demand, paid media for predictable growth, CRO for more revenue from existing traffic, and lifecycle email and CRM for retention. Where specialists are needed, I hire and brief them and hold them to the same number.
4. Automate the routine
Reporting, pacing alerts, lead routing and content briefs run on n8n and AI workflows, so the team spends its time on decisions rather than spreadsheets.
5. Report weekly, decide weekly
Each week you get a short report: what moved, what didn’t, and what we’re changing next. Kill-or-scale decisions stay human and are made with clean data.
Who this is for
- B2B SaaS and tech companies after early traction, where the founder is still the head of marketing.
- Ecommerce and DTC brands spending on Meta and Google without a clear view of profit per channel.
- Service businesses and agencies that need a pipeline they can predict.
Who this is not for
- Pre-revenue companies looking for equity-only advice.
- Teams that only want cheaper media buying — this engagement owns the whole funnel, not a single channel.
